It was a nice trip overall, and we did get to see some whales, which was great. I just thought we’d have a bit more time out there for some reason, so it felt like it ended sooner than I expected. Still glad we went, just wish it had lasted a little longer.

We had a really fun trip, and our guide made the whole experience. They were excited the entire time, which kept the energy up and made everything feel more personal. Compared to other tours we’ve taken, this one felt a lot less scripted and more genuinely enjoyable.

I’m usually a little skeptical when it comes to customer service because I’ve had plenty of places act helpful until there’s an actual question, but this went fine. We showed up a bit early and the staff pointed us in the right direction right away.

I’d absolutely do it again next time we’re in Maui.

I’m really drawn to the ocean conservation mission, and I wanted to feel more confident supporting it. But the website left me with mixed feelings. I had a hard time finding clear nonprofit info like financials, impact numbers, and details about who’s actually running the organization. Maybe it’s all on there somewhere, but it felt like I had to dig more than I expected. The cause seems worthwhile, but the lack of easy transparency made me hesitate a bit

Instead, we ended up seeing about six whales way closer than expected. The crew was super chill, everything felt easy, and the whole trip was just a really good time. Terrible inconvenience, obviously.

I can’t say I don’t appreciate what pacificwhale.org is trying to do. Protecting whales and the ocean is a cause I genuinely care about, and the site definitely gives off good intentions.

That said, I didn’t come away feeling like I really understood where support goes or what kind of difference it makes. Maybe they’re doing solid work, but I wouldn’t mind seeing more simple updates, real examples, or clearer proof of impact because right now it feels a little thin for a conservation mission.

I went out with Pacific Whale and noticed right away how clean the boat was. The bathrooms were tidy too, which is always a plus since that’s not always the case on tour boats. The seats and deck felt well taken care of, and it made the whole trip feel more relaxed and comfortable. I’d definitely consider going with them again, and I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a easy, comfortable boat tour.

I get weirdly stressed about little travel stuff like where to stand or when to board, probably because I’m the kind of person who overthinks airport lines too, but this was super easy and relaxed. Small thing maybe, but friendly people really do make a big difference on trips like this. I’d definitely go again

The cancellation policy was okay overall, but the refund rules felt a bit strict to me. I couldn’t help feeling like it was set up that way on purpose so fewer people would actually get their money back.

I was kind of expecting the refund to turn into one of those annoying back-and-forth things, but it didn’t. It got sorted quick enough, and I didn’t have to keep chasing anyone, which is the main thing I care about with refunds. Not much else to say, really, it just worked out fine.
